Join us for a special Book Week edition of TGS Rhyme Time and enjoy a morning of stories, community and discovery in our Junior School.
Modelled on a high-quality playgroup, the morning allows young boys to explore, play and connect while parents gain a feel for our warm and supportive Junior School community. Families are invited to enjoy a calm, unhurried experience designed especially for boys beginning to imagine what school might look and feel like.
It’s a low‑pressure opportunity to meet our teachers, see our spaces and understand how TGS supports early confidence and builds strong foundations for bright futures.
What You Will Experience
8:30am | Arrival and Welcome — Junior School
Families will be warmly welcomed by our Junior School staff at our Junior School Administration building. There is time to order a complimentary coffee and be shown to your reserved viewing spot for the parade. Families are warmly invited to dress up in their favourite Book Week costumes and join in the fun.
8:45am | Book Week Parade Begins
Experience the excitement of our Junior School Book Week Parade as students showcase their creativity and favourite literary characters.
9:30am | Outdoor Play and Morning Tea
Following the parade, enjoy a relaxed morning tea while children take part in outdoor play, providing an opportunity to connect with other families and members of our Junior School community.
10:00am | Tour of Prep Classrooms
Take a guided tour of our Prep classrooms and learning environments, and gain insight into the experiences that await boys as they begin their educational journey at TGS.
This relaxed and engaging morning offers a wonderful opportunity to experience the warmth of our Junior School community while celebrating the joy of reading during Book Week.
