Building Tomorrow Together
2025, we celebrated 150 years of Toowoomba Grammar School, a milestone that honoured the extraordinary vision, generosity, and commitment that brought our School to life and sustained it through generations.
The story of TGS began in 1874 when a community united by a shared belief in the power of education rallied to create something remarkable. Led by Samuel George Stephens, the Hon. James Taylor, and other visionary community leaders, through their determination and philanthropy laid the foundation for a school that has stood as a beacon of excellence for 150 years.
G150 was a celebration of that legacy, a year of reflection, gratitude, and achievement.
Together, we honoured the past and strengthened the bonds that make our School community so special.
Now, we look to the future
As we build on this proud history, we turn to our community once again to secure the next chapter for TGS. Just as philanthropy built our School, it remains the key to its future ensuring we continue to inspire leaders, innovators, and changemakers for generations to come.
Introducing our inaugural Giving Program, a visionary initiative created to enrich the lives of our students, elevate our facilities, and safeguard our proud heritage. This program is more than a commitment; it is a bold goal that sets the course for the future of education at TGS. By looking ahead we are acknowledging the decisions we make today will shape generations to come.
