“The world-class centre will include a Junior School-focused technology room, two large contemporary workshops with an associated timber machinery room, two engineering workshops; rooms for robotics, e-sports, design and 3D printing; a 180 seat lecture theatre, lecturette room, virtual and extended reality room, and function space - all designed to allow for hands-on learning and critical thinking for both Junior and Senior School students.”
The Design, Engineering and Technology (DET) Centre is the first major development of the Masterplan.
Through enhanced curricular and co-curricular programs, students will work with emerging technologies to develop the skills needed to thrive in our rapidly advancing digital landscape. This unique learning environment will empower the next generation of innovators, entrepreneurs and enterprising thinkers, ready to shape the future and seize opportunities in the tech-driven global economy.
Providing outstanding learning environments, like this one, is an important part of our vision to ensure our boys leave TGS with the skills to be independent, well-balanced and successful in life.
