Starting at a new school comes with plenty to organise, so we’ve brought together the key information and resources you’ll need to prepare for your son’s commencement at TGS.
Getting ready for TGS

Ensure your son has the required uniforms for the start of the School year.
Order books and stationery
Review the relevant booklist and organise your son’s books and stationery ahead of commencement. Orders should be placed by 11 December 2026. Orders placed by this date will be available from 4 January 2027 for home delivery or collection from Browns Office Choice. School collection orders will be available from 18 January 2027 from the Uniform Shop.
Staying connected
Keep an eye on communications from TGS regarding orientation, commencement arrangements and anything your family needs to complete before the beginning of the School year.
We recognise the importance of strong communication between School and home. Throughout the year, TGS uses a number of channels to keep families informed, including:
- TGS App for School news, calendars, events and updates relevant to your son’s year level and activities
- Parent Lounge for family-specific information and services
- Email for important School communications and updates
- Student diaries, where applicable
- TGS social media channels for news, achievements and stories from across the School community
The TGS App can be downloaded from the Apple Store or Google Play.
Your Handbook remains the primary source of information about School procedures, expectations and day-to-day life at TGS.
