“It’s not just theory. We’re working on something real, speaking with people who deal with it every day and trying to create something that could actually make a difference.”— TGX Student

Step into the future of learning at Toowoomba Grammar School
Join us for an exclusive TGX Discovery Morning and experience firsthand how boys at Toowoomba Grammar School are preparing for a world that is changing rapidly.
TGX is our future-focused learning approach, where boys work on real-world challenges alongside industry and community to develop the skills they’ll need beyond school.
From the moment you arrive at our Design, Engineering and Technology (DET) Centre, you’ll see learning brought to life. This is not a presentation about the future of education, it’s a chance to experience it.
Throughout the morning, you will hear directly from the students currently piloting TGX.
In our Year 10 program, boys are tackling real challenges such as waste. They are working alongside industry leaders, our maintenance team and external providers to understand the problem from every angle and design practical solutions. One group is prototyping an app to help reduce food waste in the dining hall.
For many of our boys, particularly our boarders, the future is personal. It may be returning to a family property, stepping into a business or contributing to a regional community. TGX challenges them to think beyond what has always been done and consider what comes next.
What to expect
Open to all prospective families, this experience is particularly suited to students in Years 5 to 10.
The morning includes:
- Hearing from students currently piloting TGX
- A behind-the-scenes look at TGX in action
- A tour of our DET Centre and wider campus
- A live TGX Innovation Sprint experience, where prospective students can get involved
- Opportunities to connect with staff and experience our learning environment
This is your opportunity to not just hear about it, but to see it, feel it and experience it.
