TGS Athletes Shine at States

Toowoomba Grammar School Athletes have returned from the Queensland Track and Field Championships with a swag of medals.

The 16-20 Years events were held from October 23-24 with the following TGS competitors medaling.

Gold Medal:       Josh Roach Under 18 Years 400m Hurdles

Gold Medal:       Wihan Kruger Under 17 Years Javelin

Gold Medal:       Matthew Taylor Under 16 Years Discus

Silver Medal:     Ben Millar Under 20 Years Shot Put

Bronze Medal:   Nick Coonan Under 20 Years 800m

Bronze Medal:   Nick Coonan Under 20 Years 400m

Bronze Medal:   Josh Roach Under 18 Years 400m

Then, on the weekend of 30-31 October, we had the Queensland Championships for the 12-15 Years in Brisbane with the following results:

Gold Medal        Hinata Inoue 14 Years Shot put

Gold Medal        Hinata Inoue 14 Years Discus

Silver Medal      Hinata Inoue 14 Year Javelin

Silver Medal      Nick Denny 15 Year 200m

Bronze Medal    Ruben Kruger 14 Year Javelin

Bronze Medal    Nick Denny 15 Year 100m

These boys have now qualified for the National team, if those Championships proceed at the end of this year, or early next year.

Fourth Place:     Ben Millar Under 20 Years Discus

Fourth Place:     Ewald Kruger Under 15 Years Shot Put

Fifth Place:         Nick Roach Under 17 Years 400m Hurdles

Fifth Place:         Charlie Randall Under 16 Years 3000m

Sixth Place:        Josh Roach Under 18 Years 200m

Seventh Place:   Charlie Randal Under 16 Years 1500m

Seventh Place:   Ewald Kruger Under 16 Years Discus

Ninth Place:       Henry MacFarlane Under 17 Years 100m

Ninth Place:       Samuel Gladwin Under 17 Years 3000m

Tenth Place:       Henry MacFarlane Under 17 Years 200m

Tenth Place:       Tom Denny Under 18 100m
