TGS Volleyball Coach, Jessica Russel-Croucher is the U17 Girls Coach at this tournament.
The players and coaches undergo a rigorous selection process to make the State teams with a series of trials held from early June into July. Some age groups have over 100 hopefuls competing for a position in the ten-person team. The players are selected for their presence on court and their impact on their team, not just their ability and talent.
The next event will be trials for the National Beach Volleyball Championships, which is growing in popularity and a pathway for national representation.
