Dr James Carlopio
Dr James Carlopio is a distinguished expert in cultural and technological transformation, currently serving as the Executive Director of ABC Ltd.
With extensive experience across Australia, Europe and the United States, he has collaborated with a diverse array of organisations, including multinational corporations, governmental agencies, academic institutions and international organisations. Dr Carlopio has played a pivotal role in projects for leading companies in sectors such as finance, telecommunications, technology, energy and manufacturing.
His work also includes contributions to prestigious global organisations and numerous first and second-tier suppliers in the automotive industry. An accomplished academic and facilitator, Dr Carlopio has held professorial positions at several of Australia’s leading universities and has developed innovative tools, such as a matrix for establishing a cultural baseline regarding organisational cyber awareness. He is a prolific author, with over three dozen articles and five books published on socio-technical issues and a regular contributor to the Australian Financial Review BOSS magazine. As a seasoned facilitator and speaker, Dr Carlopio has led numerous short-term meetings and large-scale organisational changes and is a frequent speaker on cyber security—including engaging with teenage audiences—organisational strategy, cybernetics, human factors/ergonomics, human technology and organisational behaviour.
