The Toowoomba Grammar School Aquatic Centre offers the most comprehensive Learn to Swim program on the Darling Downs
Lessons start for both boys and girls as young as six months old, building water confidence in the earlier years before progressing to technique. Our instructors are qualified and highly experienced at catering for swimmers of all abilities. We pride ourselves on being a technical program; teaching correct technique while also focussing on water safety. Swimmers progress through 11 levels and can then join our squad program, from which we have had swimmers reach State, National and International competition level, while many others continue in squad for fun and fitness.
Toowoomba Grammar School uses the Aquatic Centre on a regular basis. Prep to Year 3 students are involved in the Learn-to-Swim program each week during lesson time, while swimming forms part of PE lessons for the Years 4 to 6 and Senior School students. There is no additional charge for this instruction and training.
We also provide tailored Learn to Swim programs for local primary schools as part of their PE program or in preparation for their annual swimming carnivals. Schools are encouraged to contact us directly to discuss how we can best meet your needs.
Our complex is temperature controlled allowing for swimming 12 months of the year.
