Our Master Plan has progressed to the next phase of formal consultation, and we are seeking your comments. New projects identified in the Master Plan will be located to protect the leafy green setting and the amenity of our neighbours. Under this Plan the delivery of the following projects may occur over the next 10 years:

  • the extension of an existing building for student services
  • the refurbishment of existing classrooms and library extension
  • the development of a boarding precinct to consolidate and renew our boarding facilities
  • the development of a music, art and drama centre, early learning centre, technology centre and multi-purpose assembly hall
  • improvements to existing onsite parking areas and additional landscaping across the campus

The proposed masterplan involves buildings that are predominantly 2 storeys to 3 storeys. The School expects that its capacity will generally be maintained at approximately 1,425 students (including 350 boarders) with allowances for normal changes over time.

To continue to deliver on our commitment to the School community we have requested that the Minister for State Development, Infrastructure, Local Government and Planning endorse this Master Plan and identify our campus as a ‘Ministerial Infrastructure Designation’ (MID) under the Planning Act 2016. This designation will recognise our East Toowoomba campus for the following purposes:

  • education facilities;
  • facilities at which an education and care service under the Education and Care Services National Law (Queensland) is operated.

The proposed MID has been requested in accordance with Chapter 2, Part 5 of the Planning Act 2016. If the Master Plan and MID is approved, this designation would acknowledge and reflect what the School uses this land for today and secure development of the campus in the future.
