Young Cricketers Smash It at TGS

The Australian Cricket Institute (ACI) has once again partnered with Toowoomba Grammar School to offer an elite coaching opportunity for young cricketers from all over Queensland at the annual TGS Cricket Camp.

One hundred and twenty players aged between 9 and 13 years have spent the past three days (Dec 14-16) participating in a range of activities to help develop their tactical skills, drawing from the knowledge of qualified and experienced coaches from both the ACI and TGS.

The purpose of the camp is to provide opportunities for players of all abilities to develop their skills through engaging, skill-specific drills and activities using Toowoomba Grammar School’s state-of-the-art indoor facilities and top class ovals.

Activities have included individual video analysis of various drills, competitive net sessions, turf wickets and centre wicket scenarios through to matches on the final day when all the newly developed skills will be put to the test.
