International Response to Grammar Art Show11th May 2020
Who would have imagined that art from the Grammar Art Show would end up hanging in a home in New York?
Well it has! And Toowoomba city has been showcased to the World thanks to the 27th annual Grammar Art Show Online.
Pieces have been shipped to Berlin, Singapore, Alabama, New York (Brooklyn) as well as right around Australia.
The online Grammar Art Show featured a diverse range of paintings, sculptures and jewellery; more than 800 pieces from 250 artists. There’s been an impressive 30% clearance rate, with $180,000 worth of art sold making this event the second most successful Grammar Art Show ever.
“There have been so many benefits to taking this event online,” said Grammar Art Show President, Bec Statton.
“We’ve been able to provide greater exposure for artists, particularly our local artists, giving them a platform to earn some income during these difficult times and an opportunity for people to purchase art without leaving their home.”
The virtual art gallery has been such a success that the Grammar Art Show will now maintain an online presence in future years, providing a perfect combination of the international online momentum that was generated this year with the social component that is traditionally expected of the Grammar Art Show.
