Toowoomba Grammar School’s Holiday Boredom Buster16th January 2020
Many youngsters are counting the days for school to return so Toowoomba Grammar School has answered the call and developed a unique Summer Camp to beat the holiday boredom blues.
Forty-one boys and girls aged between 9 and 13 years, from right around Toowoomba will spend three fun-filled days at TGS developing skills in a variety of challenging activities including indoor sport, design and technology, art, drama, coding and robotics.
What makes this Summer Camp so different to other school holiday activity programs is that children will have the guidance of fully qualified Toowoomba Grammar School teachers who specialise in each of the activities offered. The focus is on developing children’s education and abilities and inspiring our future generations in a variety of areas, it’s not just a ‘child-minding’ service.
The aim is to either introduce children to new activities that they haven’t experienced previously or further develop and enhance existing skills through a challenging but fun environment.
The response from the public to this inaugural event has been overwhelming, around half the participants non-TGS students.
