Nationals for Seven TGS Athletes

Seven Toowoomba Grammar School athletes will represent Queensland at the National Track and Field Championships in Perth from 6-8 December.

Harrison Callow (100m), Jai Gordon (200m and 100m), Charlie Bragg (MC Shotput), Wihan Kruger (Javelin), Ewald Kruger (Shot Put, Discus and Hammer Throw), Nick Coonan (400m) and Paul Draheim (200m Hurdles) will compete against the country’s best young athletes.

Their selection follows an outstanding effort by the entire TGS team at the State Track and Field Championships in Cairns from 18-21 October.

One of the highlights of the Championships was the 16-17 years 4x100m relay. Three of the four runners in this team were TGS boys, Patrick McKay, Jai Gordon and Harrison Callow. Not only did the team win, but they broke the State record with a time of 42.3.
