TGS Students Take a Hike for Charity12th March 2019
Toowoomba Grammar School students are putting their best foot forward to raise funds for children with autism.
More than 40 students from Mackintosh House have signed up for the AEIOU Foundations ‘Take a Hike’ fun run that will be held on Sunday, 31 March at Queens Park.
The boys hope to raise $2,000 for the Foundation and are well on their way to reaching that goal, with almost $1,00 in the kitty already.
Mackintosh Boarding Housemaster, Chris McLeod said Toowoomba Grammar School encourages students to become involved in various service activities throughout the year.
“When they start thinking about other people ahead of themselves, it’s a sign they are becoming good young men,” Mr McLeod said.
“I’m very proud of their efforts already.”
The boys will choose from a 21km, 10.5km and 5km run/walk and are seeking sponsors. You can support the TGS team and donate via the AEIOU Foundation’s Website, Take-a-Hike and support ‘Clan Mackintosh’.
The funds raised will support children with autism in Toowoomba, who are receiving early intervention therapy and care at the Foundation.
