Two TGS Cricketers to Compete at Nationals

Two Year 10 Toowoomba Grammar School cricketers have been selected in the Queensland U15 Male State Team to compete at the National Championships in a fortnight.

Sam Anderson and Paul Draheim participated in the Queensland Cricket State Carnival held at Maroochydore earlier this month.  From this carnival and performances in school and club competitions last year, the U15 Queensland team was selected.

To have two boys from the one school selected in this team is an excellent achievement.

The Championship is hosted by Cricket Australia from Thursday, 7 February until Thursday, 14 February 2019 at the Sunshine Coast.

This is the second representative call-up for Sam in as many months. He was also selected for the Schoolboys Queensland team in December last year, alongside another TGS cricketer, Jem Ryan.

Paul has made a name for himself in the Toowoomba Cricket Competition, playing well above his age group, and has also represented Queensland in indoor cricket.
