Santa has Helpers at TGS

A group of Year 6 Toowoomba Grammar School students have embraced the spirit of Christmas by organising a toy drive for Lifeline to assist local children who could be facing a bleak Christmas.

Hayden Johnston, Tom Bailey and Dallas Baker appealed to the Junior School community to bring in a small gift and allocated each Junior School class an age group to buy for.

The response was overwhelming with over three hundred gifts donated by the 260 Junior School students in a two week period.

The gifts were handed to Lifeline CEO, Derek Tuffield at Junior School Assembly on Tuesday, 27 November.

Mr Tuffield told the proud gathering that in his thirty one years at Lifeline he has never received such a large donation of toys from one single organisation.
