Aquatic Centre Facility

The Toowoomba Grammar School Aquatic Centre was opened in May 2010 and represents an outstanding facility for the boys of the school. It includes a ten lane 25 x 25 metre indoor heated pool, a 15 x 11 metre indoor learn-to-swim pool, a classroom and an indoor gymnasium for strength and conditioning work for all students.

Former Olympic swimmer Dick Orbell is the Head Swim Coach and Aquatic Centre Manager. He is joined by an excellent band of experienced and accredited squad and learn-to-swim coaches.

The TGS Swim School aims for its swimmers to reach their potential by providing a coaching programme that produces excellent results at district, state, national and international level. At the same time, we realise that every swimmer cannot be an Olympian. The talent of swimmers is maximised by providing a quality environment where all swimmers can achieve the many benefits of this sport such as health, self-discipline, fitness and fun.
